Great Storyboards from The Atlantic

The Atlantic is a constant source of thought provoking articles and recently they featured some great examples of storyboards created for classic films. Storyboards are an integral part of the film making process that never seem to get attention they deserve. I particularly love the examples from "Jaws" and "Apocalypse Now."

Today's cartoon

Today's cartoon. A local issue this week- once again our Amtrak station is in the news. Due to their "expert" planning and design skills, the newly renovated parking lot and bus depot is not big enough for buses that they contracted to use the space. Will they ever get it right?

An excellent TedTalk by John Hockenberry

Here is an excellent Ted Talk by one of my favorite journalists John Hockenberry. He is talking about design in it's truest sense and what it means to our lives.

This past Sunday's cartoon.

This cartoon was inspired by the two violent storms in the past two weekends with winds that snapped huge trees in our area like twigs.

Sunday, June 10, 2012

A little late today but here is my cartoon that ran in today's paper. A local one this week. This past week once again local Amtrak commuters arrived at the Lancaster Station (the second busiest station in the State!) to find it locked and the early train just about to arrive. They hopped the fence and made it to the platform on their own.

Sunday's cartoon

Sorry for the delay this week. Was running the Pittsburgh Half Marathon during my usual Sunday morning posting time.

Sunday's cartoon

We're Number 1

My cartoon for March 4 was based on a Gallup Poll that listed Lancaster, Pa as the number 1 metro area for "well being." Since little old Lancaster rarely gets this type of props I thought it worthy to announce to the world.

This week I am featured in David Paccia's blog: "Wasting Paper." After seeing all of the great artists he has interviewed in the past couple of years I am truly honored to be there. Thanks again David!
