A blast from the past

I've been sorting through some digital files today and came across an old cartoon I did that was never published. I had a college professor who lectured us on the subconscious decisions we make when we get dressed in the morning and what they say about our personality. Why do you pull just one shirt collar out of your sweater neck? What are you trying to say about yourself when you do that?

Norman Rockwell, America Illustrated- Great article for the 4th of July

The New York Times had a great article on July 4th about the new show of Rockwell art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Many of the original paintings in the show are from the personal collections of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. I find it wonderful that the two film makers who gave us such totally American masterpieces, "American Graffiti," "Saving Private Ryan," are collectors of Rockwell's work.

4th of July

All of the fire works inspired me to reflect on our president and his administration's performance lately. I doubt anyone could fix the multiple messes we're in. Maybe our hopes were too high.
